Practical Support. Real Experience. Better Business.
Running a business can feel isolating when everything sits with you.
I help business owners bring more structure, control and clarity to
the way their business operates.
My role is to provide practical, honest and confidential support, so
you have someone experienced to help with the wider running of the
business and talk things through when needed.
Many business owners spend too much time firefighting, making decisions
on their own, dealing with customer issues, managing staff problems,
chasing information, being chased by accounts, sorting paperwork, or
trying to keep systems under control. My role is to provide practical,
honest and confidential support, so you have someone experienced to help
with the wider running of the business and talk things through when needed.
How I can support you
You remain the subject matter expert in what you do. I support the
business around it, helping with the structure, systems, decisions and
practical tasks that can otherwise take up too much of your time.
Examples include policies and procedures, management action logs, role
documentation, credit-control processes, tender responses, audit
preparation records and customer complaint reviews.

Compliance
Four British Standards
Problem
An established business needed to demonstrate continuing conformity
across four independently assessed British Standards.

Requirements were aligned with real working practices, with processes,
records and practical Excel systems created or strengthened.
Practical outcome
A consistent, audit-ready approach across all four standards that
managers could use as part of normal business activity.
Management systems

Problem
A business wanted to work towards ISO 9001 but needed additional support
to prepare a structured management system that reflected how it actually operated.
Work undertaken
Key processes, responsibilities and business-management-system
documents were developed around the organisation’s existing practices.
Practical outcome
A clearer and more relevant management system that supported
preparation for certification without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Operational support
Important work moved forward
Problem
Investigations, first-round interviews, missing procedures, aged document
reviews and website-content reviews were repeatedly delayed by day-to-day priorities.
Work undertaken
Outstanding work was prioritised, investigations and root-cause
reviews completed, and documents and website content refreshed or
created where absent.
Practical outcome
Important tasks were completed, interviews were not delayed, operational
gaps were addressed and the business gained clearer systems and more
accurate customer-facing information.
I have been involved in running and supporting businesses since 1996.
I spent many years as a Director and Head of Security and Compliance.
I helped lead a 24-hour, 365-day service business with around 20 full-time staff before Covid.
I understand the pressure of customers, staff, systems, accounts, compliance and daily decision-making.
Since 2022, I have used that experience to support other business owners with the wider running of their business.
I am DBS Enhanced checked for adults and children.
I hold active SIA licences in Security Guarding and CCTV.
I hold the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
Experience built on standards
The security company in which I previously held senior management and
compliance roles maintained independently assessed approvals and
memberships, including the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme,
SafeContractor for Health and Safety, and British Standards connected
to security services.
As Head of Compliance, I was responsible for understanding codes of
practice, implementing their requirements and keeping the business
audit ready.
As lead host for face-to-face audits, I took pride in ensuring the
company approached each assessment with confidence, with the necessary
standards, records and controls in place.
