Course Outline
OVERVIEW
The General Risk Assessing Course L2, provided by ProTrainings, was re-engineered to focus specifically on the private security industry.
Our instructor, Gary Munday—a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience as Head of Security & Compliance for a leading Surrey-based security patrol company—has tailored this course to meet the specific needs of both security companies and individuals. It is designed to support those currently performing risk assessment tasks and those seeking to enhance their professional credentials for current or prospective employers.
Fundamentally First Aid has the sole right to deliver this course.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR
This course is tailored for forward-thinking security companies committed to meeting and exceeding legal, regulatory, and industry standards. It equips individuals within the organisation with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to competently conduct and document risk assessments in the private security industry.
LOCATION OF THE COURSE
The course should be held at the private security companies premises. Where this is not possible the security company can arrange a local venue conducive to learning which may also be at a customers location.
COURSE LENGTH
The course includes six hours of contact time, with an additional hour allocated for breaks, making the total duration no less than seven hours. Dates and times will be arranged by mutual agreement.
Currently, this is not a shared open course. It is exclusively available for companies to book at their preferred venue.
TYPE OF COURSE
This is an assessed course requiring 100% successful completion of all practical components and a minimum score of 75% on the end-of-day assessment to pass.
The assessment will be conducted on the learner's internet-enabled phone or device and will consist of multiple-choice questions.
Learners will log into a virtual classroom to complete the assessment. Results will be provided promptly after submission.
CERTIFICATE
On successfully completing the course the learner will receive a digital VTQ certificate for Risk Assesing : Private Security Industry from ProTrainings which will last for 3 years.
COURSE COST
This Risk Assessment workplace course is specifically designed for the private security industry. While we recommend consulting your accounts department for confirmation, the cost of this course is likely tax-deductible. By investing in this training, your organisation can enhance compliance, credibility, and professionalism while potentially reducing its tax liability.
The full-day course includes learning materials, PowerPoint notes, certification, a Company Admin ProTrainings account, and individual learner ProTrainings accounts.
- 1–6 Learners: £540.00 (equivalent to £90.00 per learner for upto six attendees)
- 7–12 Learners: £900.00 (equivalent to £75.00 per learner for upto twelve attendees)
